Summary.
I am an Associate Professor of Law at Washington University in St. Louis, where I research and teach in the areas of corporate law, empirical and computational legal studies, and law and technology.
Before joining WashU in 2021, I was the Postdoctoral Fellow in Empirical Law and Economics at the Ira M. Millstein Center for Global Markets and Corporate Ownership at Columbia Law School. I have also served as a Visiting Associate Professor of Law at the University of Virginia School of Law and as a Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Research on Collective Goods in Bonn.
I hold a Ph.D. from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich) and an LL.M. from Harvard Law School. I am also a fully qualified lawyer in Germany, where I practiced with a focus on venture capital financing before embarking on an academic career.
